Kristen's Adventures

I am venturing out into the real world by moving across the country where I know virtually no one. There are ups and downs and I am always busy (which is the way I like it!). Most young people only move out into the "real world" because they have to once their college kicks them out (aka "Graduation"). I am not sure if I fit into that category or not. At least I wasn't kicking and screaming on the way out like some people!

Treadmills Are Evil.

Some of you may remember that I don't like treadmills. Now I have proof that they are evil.

See, I love to run. I prefer to run outdoors, but occasionally I run on a treadmill in the place in my apartment building when it is cold/windy out. It works out ok because there are TVs and I just don't run as long.

Anyway, today Will and I went down to exercise a bit. I was running on the treadmill and he was already done so he was next to me. I realized that Full House, a classic 80's/90's sitcom, was on and got excited. When I turned to tell Will the news, I must have stepped slightly off the moving track onto the unmoving edge, which in turn caused me to fall. I don't really know what happened since it happened so fast, but I know that a whole lot of the left side of my body has been rubbed off to varying degrees. Will tells me that this is why you are supposed to wear some emergency shut off thing. Oh. It was really embarrassing, and it really hurts! I am getting all puffy and bloody in little spots here and there and it looks like I have hickeys on my neck and collarbone because at some point I landed on those parts too, on the quickly moving treadmill belt.

There you have it. Treadmills are evil. Don't say I didn't warn you.
